Paul Winters

Paul was most recently Partner, General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer of Denham Capital Management LP, a leading energy and resources global private equity firm. He brings over 25 years of experience to Petra. In his roles at Denham, Paul was responsible for all legal and compliance matters affecting the firm, its funds and its portfolio companies. During his tenure, which began in 2005, Paul helped build and manage a best-in-class back office serving Denham and its investors. He served on the firm’s Valuation Committee. Prior to joining Denham, Paul was an attorney at Latham & Watkins LLP, with a focus on power project development and financing, mergers and acquisitions and other transactional matters. Paul speaks Spanish and some German. He is a past director of Wide Horizons for Children, a Boston-based adoption and child welfare agency. Paul received a Bachelor of Science and a Juris Doctor from Georgetown University.
