Charlie Chipchase

Mr. Chipchase is Managing Director and Head of Europe at Petra Funds Group. He is an experienced private equity professional with over 25 years of experience. Prior to Petra, Mr. Chipchase was the European General Counsel and Head of ESG at Riverstone Holdings, LLC. At Riverstone, he built out and led all aspects of Riverstone’s ESG program, was a member of the firm’s ESG and D&I committees, and was responsible for managing legal, compliance and regulatory matters across multiple funds and jurisdictions. Before joining Riverstone, Mr. Chipchase was a corporate lawyer at Vinson & Elkins and White & Case in London, where he specialized in cross-border M&A in the energy and infrastructure sectors. Mr. Chipchase received his MA (Honours) in History from Edinburgh University and his Diploma in Law and Legal Practice from the College of Law. He is licensed to practice law in England and Wales.
