Petra Funds Group Builds Out Business Development Team With Strategic Hires
Richard Harris joins as Head of Business Development, John Manning as Senior Director of Business Development, further strengthening Petra’s commitment to providing high-quality fund administration.
October 1, 2024 – New York – Petra Funds Group (“Petra”), a leading independent private funds administrator, today announced the expansion of its Business Development team with two key hires. Richard Harris joins Petra as Managing Director and Head of Business Development, where he will lead the team’s efforts to deliver best-in-class solutions to more private markets firms. John Manning has also joined the firm as Senior Director of Business Development to support Petra’s continued growth.
Richard Harris brings over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry, most recently serving as Managing Director at HSBC Securities. In this role, he helped build the firm’s middle market and large cap Financial Sponsor teams, responsible for originating M&A mandates, leveraged buyout financings and structured solutions for their private equity client base. He has also held senior roles at UBS and Range Global, and began his career at Bear Stearns where he helped lead risk management of the firm’s NYSE floor trading operations.
John Manning brings over 13 years of experience in business development and customer relationship management, including six years working with private equity firms and limited partners. He has held a variety of sales and relationship management roles at Salesforce, Catalant, Riverstone Holdings and J.P. Morgan Asset Management.
